Thomas Y.L. Hung, MD
Board-certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Thomas Hung is the premier physician for treating pediatric and adult sinus disease, parotid and thyroid gland tumors, and functional rhinoplasty. For over a decade, Dr. Hung has been recognized by his peers in D Magazine for many reasons, including his unique ability to combine his skills to fix both the interior and exterior of the nose. His brilliant talent to treat the underlying medical issue, while maintaining or improving the aesthetics of the injury, attracts patients statewide.

Dr. Hung received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he was selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Society, which is reserved for only the top-tier medical students in the country.
He completed an otolaryngology residency and a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Hung focuses on informing and collaborating with his patients to find the best surgical or nonsurgical treatment to address their concerns. He is highly respected by his colleagues and adored by his patients of all ages. In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Hung is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Duke University Medical Center, as well as the Chief of Otolaryngology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Hung’s work has also appeared in several publications and presentations throughout the country.
